Lego Ninjago set review: Kai Fighter

Here's a Lego Ninjago set review, the Kai Fighter! Here are 7 pictures of it.

Full overview of the set

General Cryptor w/ all equipment(except rocket launcher) on him(front view)

General Cryptor w/ accessories removed(front view)

General Cryptor w/ accessories removed(back view)

Kai in new suit and holding the techno blade

Kai without techno blade and bandanna, front view

Kai without techno blade and bandanna, back view
Onto the review!
Minifigures: It's like half of the reason I bought this set! :P When I saw how General Cryptor looks like, I was like "Oh my goodness! He's so cool! I must get him if I can!" because he's just so awesome and also, I am quite happy to finally get the ninjas' hair in this season because I don't even have the ninjas' hair before! So I'm very happy about that! :D And I also get to have a bandanna piece which I've never had before! :D (10/10)
Vehicle: It's great, though the downsides for this is how when you perform the wings function, the axle is being shown and the tan and white brick used for the function is obvious and there are some off-colour green plates showing near the 'jail cells'(whatever they are but I see them as that), but from the top view it usually isn't that obvious. Also, it probably isn't that obvious, but the 'jail cells' it is actually a sticker put onto a transparent panel piece to put onto another brick. Anyway here's the video showing the functions of the vehicle.

(8/10)
Pieces: Some great new pieces included here! :D Though I'm not going to list them all because I'm lazy to. :P
(10/10)
Total: 28/30
That's it for now and I hoped this review helped!

Lego legends of chima set review: Sparratus's Spider Stalker

Here's a Lego legends of chima set review of Sparratus's Spider Stalker! I bought this at The Brick Shop quite a few days ago as my birthday present(and today's my birthday! Yay!). Here are 4 pictures of it.

Back printing for Gorzan's head and torso
Sparratus's Spider stalker and Gorzan stand at the bottom left hand corner

Front view of Gorzan w/ accessories

Front view of Gorzan without accessories
Onto the review!
Minifigures: The minifigures were great, but unfortunately I lost Sparratus the spider and I don't know where it is so I did not have him in the vehicle for the pictures. (10/10)
Vehicle: The overall appearance is nice, but I don't think the eyes are that good looking. Also, here's a video of the functions!!!

(9/10)
Pieces: As usual a lot of new pieces and I'm quite happy how they actually have true transparent neon green for some of the parts in the set. (10/10)
Total: 29/30
That's it for now and I hoped you enjoyed this set review! Also, to see how Sparratus looks like, I'm linking you to a review made by JANGBRiCKS! Click here to see the video and skip to 3:14 to see how Sparratus looks like.

Lego legends of chima set review: Crocodile Legend beast

Here's my Lego legends of chima set review, the Crocodile Legend beast! I bought this at The Brick Shop 2 days ago. Here's a picture of it.

Minifigure: It's a good thing Lego finally put Cragger in a more cheaper set. I mean, all the sets with Cragger, such as him vs Laval on speedorz, Cragger's command ship, and just all of the sets including him are too expensive for my taste, so I'm glad they finally put him in a cheaper set and let me be able to get him. And I think Cragger looks okay. (10/10)
Legend Beast: Okay, just what's up with the colour scheme?! I mean, like, why is there grey appearing on the croc's feet out of the blue? It just doesn't fit in! Especially when this 'legend beast' are supposed to be animals that we know of! Other than that I have no complains on it. (7/10)
Pieces: Like the Eagle legend beast, the winning part is the pieces again! :D More dark green and olive green pieces for MOC making! Those new claw 1x2 plate mold! :D The piece used for most of the crocodile's teeth! The gold vengious! (At last!) (10/10)
Total: 27/30
That's it for now and I hoped this review helped!

Lego legends of chima set review: Eagle legend beast

Here's my Lego legends of chima set review, the Eagle legend beast! I bought this along with Lavertus's twin blade at Metro 3 days ago. Here's a picture of it.

To the review!
Minifigure: Awesome as always but I already have Eris, but she is used to make another female eagle. Also, I certainly did NOT buy this just for the minifigure, I wanted the legend beast, so that's what we're looking at next. Oh, also, there's that awesome transparent blue shield(which in that picture I accidentally covered Eris's face with it :P). (9 and a half/10)

Legend beast: I wouldn't even say it's one bit attracting... And the eagle has a tendency to fall over its weight.  I only think the tail looks okay and the wings just, to me, looks utterly terrible. (5/10)
Pieces: The winning part of this set is THE PIECES!!! OH YEAH!!
Basically there are some more of those yellow exo force claw/finger pieces... thingy, 6 white exo force claw/finger pieces which are new to me and a new colour for the new 3 finger piece! :D There's also a new shield piece which is included for all of the minifigures in the legend beasts sets and some mini-ball and socket joints are included too! :D There's also a 1x2 slope piece(I don't know what's the official name of this piece) which is in white which is on the eagle's head with a few stickers, and a yellow piece that is used for the beak(without the 1x1 plate put under that yellow beak like piece)! (10/10)
Total: 24/30
So basically majority of my points are lost due to the Legend beast, so one thing's for sure that I should NEVER EVER buy a legend beast again. :P Unless I'm buying it for minifigures I couldn't get because of them being out of my budget such as Laval, Cragger, Gorzan(I probably won't be buying the gorilla legend beast since I'm not a fan of gorillas) and Worriz. But anyway, that's it for now and I hoped this help you with your set choices!

Lego legends of chima set review: Lavertus's twin blade

Here's my Lego legends of chima set review, Lavertus's twin blade! I bought this along with the Eagle legend beast set at Metro two days ago. Here are 3 pictures of it.

Whole set

Scutter

Close up on Lavertus in the vehicle
Review time!
Minifigures: Great minifigures as always. Though I really don't like the fact that Scutter has no real minifigure legs. :\ (9/10)
Vehicle: It's overall appearance is great, and the special feature makes it two times even greater! :D (10/10) Here's the video of the function.

Pieces: There are a LOT of new pieces in this set for me, such as all of the orangey-yellow pieces in this set, since I don't really buy lion tribe vehicles, I don't really have a lot of those pieces so they are quite new. Also, the brown coloured Frost Beast weapon spike thingys(the ones used as the 'lion head' mane) are new too! The rotor blades also, the grill piece thingy used for the mechanism, some of those dark brown version of a 1x2 slope piece that has a 1x1 plate space, similar to the 1x3 version which also has a 1x1 plate space. There are also those Hero Factory(HF) 3.0 claws in dark pearl grey/gunmetal grey which was released in HF already. Oh, and there's also a rubber band used for the mechanism, too! So basically there are quite a number of new stuff here. (10/10)
Total: 29/30
That's it for now and I hoped you enjoyed this review!

Lego legends of chima ultrabuild set review: Chi Gorzan

Here's my Lego legends of chima ultrabuild set review, Chi Gorzan!  This was bought at The Brick Shop yesterday. Here are 2 pictures of it.

Front view

Back view(To me the back look bad... :\ )
Figure: The overall looks is okay and it's especially good from the front, but from the back you get some terrible coverage... :\ Also, the legs are crazy stubby compared to his arms. Then again, a real gorilla actually does have longer arms. (8/10)
Colour scheme: Black, gold and dark pearl grey/gunmetal grey looks good together, but, like I said in most ultrabuild reviews, these figures do NOT look anything like the minifigures themselves, except for the head. (9/10)
Pieces: Like Chi Cragger, this was the reason why I bought this set. There are some pieces that are new that I want and some existing pieces that I would like more of.
New:
1. Gorzan's head(duh!)
2. Stormer XL chest plate piece in gold(the one which has the stickers with the chi flowing on his chi armour)
3. Black...... fur add on piece... thingy(The add on piece on the upper arms of Gorzan)
4. Gold upper/lower mace piece
5. Transparent dark blue upper/lower mace piece
6. The piece connecting the mace pieces to his 'hand'
Existing but want more:
1. Dark pearl grey/gunmetal grey feet
(10/10)
Total: 27/30
That's it for now and I hoped you enjoyed this review!

Lego Hero Factory brain attack review: Scarox

Here's my Lego  Hero Factory brain attack review, Scarox!  I bought this along with Chi Cragger, the Lego legends of chima ultrabuild set at Gift Greetings(shop) yesterday. Here's a picture of it.

Figure: Its overall appearance is okay, but not as appealing because of the unarmoured bone pieces. (7/10)
Colour scheme: Gold, green and black? Nice... ;) (10/10)
Pieces: I love them and this is practically the reason why I bought this set, though I regretted a little bit because I forgot XT4(yes that set's still in the Gift Greetings store till now O_o) had that little baby torso, which is suitable for making little heroes. :P *Sigh* It's too late now, I've bought it. But anyway, let's get onto the new parts in this set and some existing parts that I already have yet I want more of it.
New parts:
1. Gold coloured... erm... bow blades... thingy... I don't know what are they called.
2. Scarox mask(Duh!)
3. A bright green brain creature piece
4. Red coloured technic piece with 2 cross axles at both ends and a inverted pin hole in the middle.
5. 3.0 claw pieces in transparent neon green
6. Gold 4 long sized armour piece
Existing parts but want more:
1. Black body armour piece
(10/10)
Total: 27/30
That's it for now and I hoped you enjoyed this review!

Lego legends of chima ultrabuild set review: Chi Cragger

Here's my Lego legends of chima ultrabuild set review, Chi Cragger! I bought this along with Scarox, the Hero Factory brain attack set at Gift Greetings(shop) yesterday. Here's a picture of him.

The pose was derived a little bit from his packaging though... Oh well, let's get to the review.
Figure: Good looking... though I didn't expect him to have an XL torso. Also, I don't really like his bones unarmoured. (9/10)
Colour scheme: Like most other ultrabuild characters, their head is the only one accurate to the actual minifigure, while the rest are a little... messed up... :P Especially this guy here... (8/10)
Pieces: This is my reason to buy this set, because there are new pieces plus some that I'd like more!
New:
1. Cragger's head, upper part
2. Cragger's head, lower part
3. Cragger's chi chestplate
4. Sand green 3rd shortest bone in hero factory
5. Sand green Hero Factory hands
6. Dark green Ben 10 tail piece
7. Red coloured Frost Beast weapon... blade... thingy. :P
Existing but what I want more of that type of pieces:
1. Dark green body armour
2. Dark green 3 long sized armour piece
(10/10)
Total: 27/30
That's it for now and I hoped you enjoyed this review!

Yes! I've finally gotten him!

Finally, at last, I've gotten Lloyd, the green ninja!

Ever since the introduction of the green ninja and who he was, everyone was guessing and guess what? It was Lloyd! There was even customs of this green ninja! When Lloyd ZX first came, I had obviously wanted to grab this minifigure, but unfortunately for me, I cannot find the cheapest set that has him(Lloyd's spinner) and why I had wanted to try and grab him in the cheapest set is because I'm not gonna waste my money on a expensive set that is over S$100 just for a minifigure. Finally, at last, yesterday, at Popular bookstore, I've gotten him, in the Lego Ninjago character encyclopedia! I just read through a few of the pages, and I think it was okay. After all, I pretty much know most of the information from watching the TV show. But anyway, that's it for now!

Lego Legends of chima ultrabuild set review: Laval

Here's my Lego legends of chima ultrabuild set review, Laval! Here's a picture of him.

Do you like the pose? Anyway, I'll just get on to the review.
Figure: It looks okay... I don't have much to say about this figure...(9 and a half/10)
Colour scheme: Well, it's fine, but compared to the actual minifigure, the upper leg armour isn't quite right... :| (9/10)
Pieces: A whole bunch of new pieces in this one!
1. Gold paw pieces(Yes I don't have them beforehand)

2. Transparent blue 5 long armour
3. Gold shield(I didn't get Brain Attack Rocka)
4. Gold 2.0 body armour
5. Laval's head(Duh!)
6. The add on piece on the 2.0 gold body armour(Actually I have those type of pieces, but just that this has the unique printing on it, so I count it as a new piece)
(10/10)
Total: 28 and a half/30
That's it for now!

Lego legends of chima speedorz review: Boulder Bowling

Here's my Lego legends of chima speedorz review, Boulder bowling! I bought this at Metro 2 days ago. Here are 4 pictures of it.

Whole set(Sorry if the picture is too small for you, though. Also sorry for not putting the chi included in this set in this picture)

Cards

Crominus holding the Grandorious and Krank om his speedorz

Crominus holding the Gradorious and Krank without speedorz
Obstacle: I must say, this is quite fragile, but also a fairly simple build. But I just cannot get the rock with the chi ball inside the break! :( (9 and a half/10)
Minifigures and speedorz: Very nice, as always. (10/10)
Pieces: The reason why I really got this set is because I want Crominus's outer head and the chi holder. Also, I also got some... hmm... I should say, 'unexpected' new pieces.
1. Translucent blue chi ball(Yes! Finally I get to have one of those! :D)
2. A new shade of green for a super jumper plate(2x2 plate with 1 stud in the middle). No, it's not the lime green, not the olive green, not the normal dark green, not the super dark green, but an entirely new green, a green that has a shade of between the normal dark green and lime green, sort of like the colour pencil shade that I used to colour Cragger for my chima drawings.
3. Gold vengious! Woot woot! (10/10)
Total: 29 and a half/30
That's it for now and I hoped you liked this review!

Lego legends of chima speedorz review: Sky Joust

Here's my Lego legends of chima speedorz review, the Sky Joust! Here are 11 pictures of it.

Whole set

part where you hit to get chi

Rawzom on his speedorz

Close up on Rawzom

Close up on speedorz(Er...a little crooked)

Close up on chi(the plate holding the chi is NOT included in this set.

Close up on Eris on her speedorz(not a big fan of Eris... seriously!)

Close up on Eris)

Close up on Eris's speedorz
Cards from Eris

Cards from Rawzom

Main play piece: That looks nice for a speedorz game! Also, this is a 3 in 1 game! :D (10/10)
Speedorz: Well detailed, I guess. From the speedorz printing on Rawzom's speedorz, it looks like as if it was made from a whole bunch of junk! (10/10)
Minifigures: Great printing, as always, but I'm definitely not a big fan of Eris. (Just that I don't like female minifigures in fighting themes overall.) (9/10)
Total: 29/30
By the way, I'm so sorry for not posting for nearly a week but that is because I was studying for my exams and I seriously didn't know what to post! Anyway, that's it for now and I hoped you like this review!

Lego creator set review: Power Mech

Here's my Lego creator set review, the power mech! I got this as my children's day present and this was bought at Metro yesterday. Here's a picture of it.

Figure: Great figure overall! It look good and has a fair amount of articulation. I couldn't have made the head any better myself(I'm really bad at making heads for my mech MOCs.)! However, there is still some cons.
1. The leg cannot turn in!
2. The leg cannot move inwards!
3. The feet cannot articulate all around.
4. The robot's head cannot look up or down.
(8/10)
Colour scheme: EXACTLY the reason why I bought this set. It's not that I love the colour scheme, it is because I don't have a lot of green Lego bricks and I thought this set can help to increase my green Lego bricks collection(My Lego hero factory pieces is opposite. I have a lot of green Lego pieces for Hero Factory). (10/10)
Pieces: They are great! More transparent plates, new Lego green plates and more! (10/10)
Total: 28/30
By the way, the reason why the robot's right leg's connection to the body has the grey piece instead of the black piece because I connected it wrongly for the right leg. :P That's it for now and I hoped you like this review!

Lego minifigures series 11 review: Welder

Here's my Lego Minifigures series 11 review of the Welder! Here's a picture of him.

First off, I kinda want to say sorry that I kept making those 'improper' posts but now is finally a proper one! Here I have the welder minifigure which was bought from the 7-11 near my house. I really like how Lego actually gave us a proper minfigure head with the face shield on him rather then just giving us 1 whole piece. I really like the printing on his torso and I especially love the exclusive dark blue pants. Maybe I'll place him somewhere in my Lego city... soon...

Lego hero factory brain attack review: Evo

Here's a Lego hero factory brain attack review of Evo! If you remember, before Brain Attack Wave 2 was released, I made a version of him based on the leaked photos. Now, I have bought the official version of him! I bought him at Metro yesterday. Here's a picture of it.

Yeah, I made the pose like how I made him pose in my attempt to replicate the leaked photos.
Figure: He looks fine, but I don't like his short lower arms. (9/10)
Colour Scheme: Hmm... I wonder why Evo had another colour scheme change... Anyway, why is that spike on the weapon orange and the head green? (8/10)
Pieces: A couple of new pieces in this set! They are:
1. Yellow spike
2. Yellow erm... what should I say? Robot fingers/claws? (The ones on his chestplate.)
3. Transparent blue visor
4. New brain attack Evo helmet(Duh!)
5. 3 long yellow armour piece(Yeah, I know they were released in the 2.0 series, but I never got the Evo 2.0 set, that's why I don't have them) (10/10)
Total: 27/30
That's it for now!

Lego hero factory review: Frost Beast

Here's my Lego hero factory review, Frost Beast! I bought it at Metro. Here's a picture of it.

Figure: He looks quite good although I really wished he had longer lower arms with armour on it. (9 and a half/10)
Colour scheme: Well, what can I say? AWESOME! It really gives the creature that type of icy feeling. (10/10)
Parts: There are 9 new parts in this set!
1. The blade for his weapon
2. Transparent light blue claws
3. White paw/fist
4. Translucent light blue brain creature
5. Transparent dark blue brain attack series head
6. Those white fur like pieces on his chest and his shoulders.
7. Mask
8. Transparent light blue 4 long armour piece
9. Transparent light blue 3 long armour piece
(10/10)
Total: 29 and a half/30
I highly recommend this to any MOC makers because of the amount of new pieces in it. That's it for now!

Lego hero factory brain attack review: Surge

Here's a Lego hero factory brain attack review of Surge! I bought him at one of the Lego stores in Singapore. Here's a picture of him.

Figure: His upper body looks small when the jet wings are put down, but that's just my opinion. (9/10)
Colour scheme: I love it! All of the colours seem to match!(10/10)
Pieces: There are a total of 7 new parts in here which are
1. Transparent dark blue armour piece size 3
2.New brain attack helmet for Surge
3.Brain attack greenish yellow visor
4.Blue exo force arm pieces
5. Yellow claw spikes
6.Blue hands(New for me because this is the first Surge set I've ever bought)
7.Pyrox and Furno's flame pieces in lightning colours. (10/10)
Total: 29/30
That's it for now!

Lego hero factory brain attack review: Furno

Here's my Lego hero factory brain attack review on Furno!I bought him today. Here's a picture of him.

Figure: A more complex build so that he can have the extra armour in the front is great! He also looks great as an overall, but I don't like his mask without the visor(It looks ugly without the visor). (9 and a half/10)
Colour scheme: So far, I really don't see any parts of him showing random colours out of nowhere, so it's quite good. (10/10)
Pieces: They. Are. AWESOME! You get those shield pieces, the grey bones which are one pin hole plus a ball joint long, silver sword piece(Similar to the one used on Chi Worriz),transparent greenish yellow head and red exo force claws. (10/10)
Total: 29 and a half/30
That's it for now and I hoped you enjoyed this review!

Lego legends of chima and minifigures set review: Jungle gates and sad clown.

Here's another double review which is for Lego legends of chima and minifigurs set review! Here are 2 pictures of them.

Sad Clown
Jungle gates

Yep, I got the sad clown for the minifigures series packet. Actually, I would like to regard him as 'sad snowman' because of the printing on his torso and his sad expression. Anyway, to the review of the Jungle Gates!
Personally, I like it the way that it actually uses the wheels because if there isn't the back wheels, I can hardly play with my speedorz. I really don't know what is with the gold coloured weapon and how Lennox is supposed to hold it. By the way, I forgot to show the rip cord but it is yellow. Here's a picture of the cards and the 6 chi included in this set.

That's it for now!

Lego Ninjago Set review: Cole's Earth Driller

Here's my Lego Ninjago set review of Cole's Earth Driller! I bought this set yesterday. Along with that, I bought the most recent series's minifigures packet. Sera bought a Lego Friends set packet and reached $50 and above which also let me get a Lego Legends of Chima Speedorz, the Jungle Gates. I'll do that review with the minifigures series packet. Anyway, here's a picture of it.

Minifigures: Great printing and I like the armour piece used on the Stone Army warrior. (10/10)
Vehicle: This had a couple of technic pieces to make the drill spin when the vehicle is moving on the ground. Here's a video showing its function.

Although, it does use a few random colours inside it. (9 and a half/10)
Pieces: I like it! It includes a few sand green pieces, a gold coloured drill, 4x4 round plate, 2x2 black round plate, gold grill pieces and the earth elemental blade piece. (10/10)
Total: 29 and a half/30
